DERMABRASION vs. MICRODERMABRASION
Microdermabrasion, generally only effective for very fine lines, involves the use of a stream of fine sand particles. Dermabrasion, on the other hand, uses a motorized wire brush on a diamond wheel (under local anesthesia). To treat deeper facial wrinkles and acne scars, the combination of dermabrasion, dermal grafting and punch elevation can often produce considerable improvement of deep facial scars.
