Dysplastic nevus (mole)

This lesion demonstrates the irregular pigmentation and borders often featured in a melanoma. However, a definitive diagnosis can ONLY be made via a skin biopsy, and not  via dermoscopy or a photo. “Dysplastic” means “abnormal appearing”, and removal of this lesion would certainly be advisable  because of its strong resemblance to a malignant melanoma.
